I am a Physiotherapist that deals mostly with Orthopaedic and Sports Injuries. I am passionate about exercise and have personally completed 6 Comrades Marathons and one Full Ironman. I am very fortunate to be the Physiotherapist at ACTIVATE which is a new Executive & Medical Wellness Centre at The Gym on the DimensionData Campus in Bryanston. This is a facility which is based on the concepts prescribed to by the “Exercise is Medicine” philosophy.

Debra Ludgater is a Registered Physiotherapist who completed her Bsc Physiotherapy Degree at the University of Durban Westville in 1994. She also received her post graduate qualification in Orthopaedic Manipulative therapy in 2003.
She worked as a physio in private practice in Nottingham Road and Howick in the KZN Midlands doing Hospital and Outpatient work and was also the physiotherapist at Michaelhouse School for 17 years (1998 – 2015). She recently relocated to Gauteng in January 2016 and is now based at The Gym on The Di Data Campus in Bryanston.

Debra has a strong interest in Sports Physiotherapy but also treats people of all ages with physical problems caused by illness, accident or ageing. Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession which sees human movement as central to the health and well-being of individuals. The main goal of physiotherapists is, therefore, to keep people pain free, moving and active.

Debra herself is a keen runner and tri-athlete and has completed 6 Comrades Marathons and numerous tri-athlons, including a full Ironman.
